Our Story: From Vision to Reign

Where Girls Grow, Lead, & Shine

My GIRLS was never just about cheer, dance, or tumble—it was about purpose.

Born from the sidelines of a youth football league in Baltimore City, My GIRLS began with one mom who saw more than athletic potential—she saw a calling. I didn’t come from a traditional cheer or dance background. I was simply a mother of two sons who joined a new football league started by their barber. Surrounded by men and young athletes, I quickly became the “team mom.” As I got to know the players, I realized many of them carried incredible talent—but lacked some of the most basic tools of confidence, self-awareness, and structure.

While the coaches focused on competition, my heart was drawn to the kids’ growth. That spark led to starting a small football and cheer program rooted not just in sports, but in mentorship. When personal differences caused me to step away, I left behind the program I had built—but not the vision. Within 30 days, God gave me a revelation: this wasn’t about the boys—it was about preparing me for my true purpose—young girls.

He whispered, “Instead of cheering on others, this time, you’ll build something that cheers them on.”

And so, on January 28, 2015, My GIRLS was born!

We started small—running practices out of Baltimore City Recreation & Parks gyms—until our reach outgrew the space. In 2020, we declared our next chapter: Destination, A Place of Our Own. Even as COVID-19 forced the world to shut down, we found a way—running practices outdoors, hauling mats to parks, and lighting up the field with car headlights. Our resilience paid off. In January 2021, we opened The Royal Palace, our first 3,000-square-foot home.

Within two years, our teams were winning championships, earning national titles, and turning heads with their grace, grit, and unity. As our program grew to include tumbling and dance, we once again needed more space. In September 2023, we transformed a 6,000-square-foot warehouse—lovingly nicknamed “The Dungeon”—into The Royal Castle, a full-sized training facility with a spring floor and dedicated dance studio.

By early 2025, we shifted again—choosing to focus our Baltimore roots while preparing to expand our impact. What we couldn’t have imagined was how quickly the next door would open. By May 2025, we were invited to bring our mission to Prince George’s County. One month later, over 50 girls attended our first interest meeting. By July, we secured a home, and by September, The Royal Fortress opened its doors—officially extending our reign across the DMV.

From The Royal Palace to The Royal Fortress, our story is one of perseverance, purpose, and faith.

At My GIRLS, we believe every young girl deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated. We use cheer, dance, and tumble as tools to build confidence, discipline, and sisterhood. Our mission is not just to train great athletes—but to raise powerful young women who know their worth, walk in excellence, and carry their crowns with pride both on and off the mat.

As the founder, I’ve learned that true success isn’t measured by trophies—it’s measured by transformation. I want every girl who walks through our doors to know that where she starts doesn’t define where she can go.

Because here, royalty isn’t given.

It’s earned—through hard work, grace, and the courage to reign.
